AUTHORS GUIDELINES

INTEGRA: Integrating Knowledge for Global Impact

Thank you for considering INTEGRA as a venue for publishing your scholarly work. Authors are requested to carefully follow these guidelines to ensure an efficient review and publication process.


1. General Information

INTEGRA is a peer-reviewed, open-access multidisciplinary scientific journal published by Cendikia Al Azhar. The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, and conceptual papers from various academic disciplines.

All submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal or publisher.


2. Manuscript Types

The journal accepts the following manuscript categories:

Original Research Articles

Reports of original research findings that contribute significantly to scientific knowledge.

Review Articles

Comprehensive and critical analyses of current developments within a specific field of study.

Conceptual Papers

Scholarly discussions that develop theoretical frameworks, models, or new perspectives.


3. Language

Manuscripts may be submitted in:

  • English

  • Indonesian

Authors are encouraged to ensure proper grammar, clarity, and academic writing quality prior to submission.


4. Manuscript Length

The manuscript should contain approximately:

  • Minimum: 5,000 words

  • Maximum: 8,000 words

Including:

  • Abstract

  • Tables

  • Figures

  • References


5. Manuscript Format

Authors must prepare manuscripts using the following format:

6. Manuscript Structure

Title

  • Concise and informative.

  • Maximum 20 words.

  • Written in Title Case.

  • Reflects the content of the manuscript.


Author Information

Provide:

  • Full name(s)

  • Affiliation(s)

  • Country

  • Corresponding author's email address

  • ORCID ID (recommended)

Example:

John Doe¹, Jane Smith²

² Faculty of Engineering, ABC University, Malaysia

Corresponding Author: johndoe@email.com


Abstract

The abstract must:

  • Be written in English.

  • Consist of 150–250 words.

  • Be written in a single paragraph.

  • Clearly present:

    • Background

    • Objective

    • Method

    • Results

    • Conclusion


Keywords

Provide 3–5 keywords.

Example:

Governance; Sustainability; Public Policy; Community Development

  • Number tables consecutively.

  • Table titles should appear above the table.

  • Figure captions should appear below the figure.

8. Citation and References

INTEGRA adopts the American Psychological Association (APA) Style, 7th Edition.

Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as:

  • Mendeley

  • Zotero

  • EndNote


Reference Requirements

Authors should ensure that:

  • References are relevant and up-to-date.

  • At least 80% of references are from scholarly journals.

  • Most references have been published within the last 10 years.

  • International references are included whenever relevant.

Minimum references:

  • Research Article: 20 references

  • Review Article: 30 references

  • Conceptual Paper: 20 references

9. Publication Ethics

Authors must adhere to the highest standards of publication ethics.

Authors must:

  • Submit original work.

  • Properly acknowledge all sources.

  • Avoid plagiarism.

  • Avoid duplicate submissions.

  • Avoid data fabrication or falsification.

  • Disclose any conflict of interest.

Manuscripts found to violate publication ethics will be rejected immediately.


10. Similarity Check

All submissions undergo plagiarism screening before peer review.

Requirements:

  • Maximum similarity index: 20%

  • Excluding references, quotations, and bibliography

The Editorial Team reserves the right to reject manuscripts exceeding the similarity threshold.


11. Peer Review Process

All manuscripts undergo a Double-Blind Peer Review process.

The review stages include:

  1. Initial Editorial Screening

  2. Similarity Check

  3. Double-Blind Review by at least two reviewers

  4. Revision Process

  5. Final Editorial Decision

Possible editorial decisions:

  • Accept

  • Minor Revision

  • Major Revision

  • Reject

The Editor in Chief has the final decision regarding publication.


12. Submission Process

Authors must submit manuscripts through the journal's Online Journal System (OJS).

Submission steps:

  1. Register an author account.

  2. Log in to the journal website.

  3. Start a new submission.

  4. Upload the manuscript.

  5. Complete metadata information.

  6. Confirm submission.

Submissions by email are not accepted unless specifically requested by the Editorial Office.

Currently, INTEGRA does not charge any fees.

14. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright of their work.

Upon acceptance, authors grant INTEGRA the right of first publication.

Published articles may be used, shared, and distributed for educational and non-commercial purposes with proper attribution to the authors and the journal.
